The above photograph has been in my family's collection ever since I can remember. I have absolutely no idea what it is all about, but I presume it would have been taken in Metheringham, or possibly Scopwick, otherwise I cannot imagine why we would have had it in the first place. Unfortunately, I do not have a very powerful magnifying glass, but looking closely at the Fete advertised in the window it looks like Blankney Hall is printed just below the word Fete. Can anyone recognise the car, the characters or the buildings in the photograph? It would be very interesting to know where and when this was taken.
