Tomorrow is Grand National Day, the one day of the year when people who are not normally interested in racing like to have a flutter. Many will have drawn a horse in a local or works sweep stake and want to back it in the big race. The most disastrous Grand National of them all was the 1993 running of the race when it was declared void after problems with the start.
