Horseracing

Today is Scottish Grand National day at Ayr, and we have a 'best bet' for this race, The selection is Nine De Sivola trained by Ferdy Murphy and ridden by Graham Lee. Nine De Sivola finished second in this race last year as a 6.y.o. beaten just half a length by Hot Weld. Despite carrying 10lb more this year he should run well again, he has only had two runs this season and will go into the race a fresh horse. First time out he finished last of four in heavy ground, before running a good third to another of today's rivals Tricky Trickster last time out. He was beaten just over 10 lengths by that horse receiving 4lbs but today is in receipt of a stone and can reverse the placings.
